I have to say, this is one of the best love letter I have ever read. It's too bad that it didn't work.

I must confess that until someone pointed that out last week I never realized that the metaphor could mean it this way. When I first thought the letter out the intro was meant simply as a statement of purpose - that I did not expect a reply, and that it took me alot of guts and resolve(yes, writing it down was perhaps the bravest thing I'd ever done) Only the world's greatest idiot would compare a girl he likes to a dog, to one of the most ruthless (though brilliant!) tyrant in Chinese history, and one of Indoensia's most unsanitary rivers. Apparently I'd done just that. How typical of me!
